Phoebus roamed the streets of Paris for what seemed like hours before he finally sat down. This was the first time since he was twelve years old that he had been in Paris to stay for a while. He had been home one other time in his life.
When Phoebus was sixteen, his family informed him, in person, that he was officially affianced to Fleur-de-Lys. That was a miserable day, more miserable than the wars had ever been. Had the Châteaupers family been poor, Phoebus would have only received a letter telling him the "good news", but the family managed to bring the young lieutenant in for one week to celebrate the engagement.
